Budva, Montenegro

(Budva, 9 December 2010) – Today over 100 representatives of business, civil society, Government labour and the UN attended a ceremony marking the official launch of the Global Compact Local Network Montenegro. The Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic addressed the meeting, stressing the importance of corporate social responsibility in Montenegro.

During the event it was announced that the Local Network Montenegro will establish a steering committee to oversee implementation of network activities. Currently 21 companies in Montenegro have expressed interest in joining the Local Network.
